The Little Red Truck The Remote West Company, Inc.

Peter Baird, owner/mixer, has been involved in broadcast audio since 1981. In that time he has earned three Emmy nominations for mixing (including ER Live, Fail Safe, and the Wayne Brady Show) and won an Emmy for the Wayne Brady Show. He built the Little Red Truck to avoid having to grow up, but enjoys acting like a grownup when mixing. He now has his Class B license and is married to the Vice President--Sales of the Remote West Company, Teresa Baird. They have twin sons, Alec and Austin.

Gary Van Pelt, the EIC of the Little Red Truck, has been chief engineer of The Haven Broadcast for 22 years, and the air mixer of the Hour of Power with Robert Schuller for 20 years. He plays the bass trombone with local jazz ensembles and actually enjoys resurrecting vintage gear, like the astonishing Quad Eight mic preamps in LRT. He is married, with three children, who play trombone, trumpet, and drums.
Teresa Baird, Vice President--Sales of the Remote West Company, graduated from California State University, Fullerton, with a Theater Arts degree. She worked in the audio department at Knott’s Berry Farm before becoming manager of the audio department at the Crystal Cathedral where she and Peter met. She holds a Master’s degree in education and was an elementary teacher in the Saugus Unified School District for nine years.
