Shoot Me in the Grocery Line is def not my usual jam. I'm not much of a techno fan, but nobody loves a catchy pop tune as much as I do. And this dude is catchy. "You know I'm patching bullet holes with the cartoon tape/Shoot me in the grocery line" is just an undeniably great line. youproblem may be on the verge of something.



Emptiness Follows as you may have guessed from the title is a little bleak. But it's a record that will sound just as great in 20 years as it does today. Aoife Nessa Frances is a long stage name, but the song is a gem. Perfect performance, production, and mix. Her lyrics will eventually catch up to her impeccable sonic sense.



corook just cracks me up. "I was really shy and kinda droopy/I got blended up and now I'm smoothie." Plus smoothie is a hooky little thing.



This week's Problem Child is In Tandem by THUS LOVE. Stumble across a vocalist who is a natural a cross between Bono and Billy Idol, match him up with a good melody and a decent lyric, AND COVER HIM UP WITH THE INCONSEQUENTIAL GUITAR CHORDS. Even if those chords are all really hip moo majers. This is not difficult: sidechain the vocal to compress the guitar bus a tiny bit, problem solved and you have a hit.
